SANKHEDA town is situated on the bank of river ORSANG and is well-known for traditional handicraft furniture popularly known as “sankheda wooden lacquer furniture”. Although it is a small town, yet marked its’ presence worldwide through this unique wooden art. It is at the distance of 55km towards the eastern side of main railway station and airport VADODARA.

Kapadia N.M.M.S. Arts and the Sankheda Nagrik Sahakari Bank Sarvajanik. Commerce College, SANKHEDA is a grant-in–aid institute affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. It was established in 1962 with a vision of the Sankheda Sarvajanik Education Trust. The College has now become a core center of higher education in the area.

The untiring efforts and strong determination of the trustees resulted in incredible development in the last few years. Today the Trust proudly manages institutions from KG Level to the College level i.e. Primary, Secondary, Higher secondary and of course college. More than 2500 students, in and around Sankheda, get an advantage of learning from these institutions.

The college is one of the leading educational institutions in Vadodara district offering programs like B.A.(Gujarati), B.A.(Economics) and B.Com. (Accounts and Auditing) having a total strength of about 600 students in the year 2017-18. The institution has maintained a good academic record with an average result above 65% in both B.A and B.Com level. The teaching-learning process is a blend of interactive method, computer assisted learning, and project based learning, and of course lectures method. Teaching is student-centered. Feedback is sought from the students on the subjects, curriculum and teachers for imparting quality education.

Good citizenship, values and discipline, patriotism, devotion and social-obligations are encouraged through N.S.S. and extension activities. The college has multimedia room equipped with modern gadgets for teaching and learning, Computer Lab with internet accessibility to promote pedagogy driven technology. The college is also fully equipped with infrastructure to promote indoor and outdoor games, learned faculty to promote available programs.
