This Polytechnic was started in the year 1965.The leading Citizen and Philanthropist of Surat, Late Shri Dalichand Virchand Shroff donated his Bunglow,'Shanti Nivas', alongwith the land admeasuring about 12500 Sq. yards for Girl's Polytechnic.The institute was inaugurated by Ex Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Of India, Late Shri Morarjibhai Desai .The vision of the college is to empower girls and make them Self-reliant and competent technocrats through technical education and training and to develop professional skills and attitude to keep pace with ever changing needs of society, industry and tech savvy world. Education is the process by which an individual is encouraged and enabled to fully develop his or her potential.
