      Government polytechnic porbandar is also known as GP porbandar. Government polytechnic porbandar is a diploma engineering college approved by Aicte and affiliated to Gujarat technological university. College is well known in the area of porbandar. Government polytechnic porbandar is established in the year 1960. The institute was established in 1960, and shifted in the new building in 1965. the campus measuring about 14 hactres (35 acres) is full of developed trees and greeneries. A large play area is used by students for outdoor sports. The institute is rich enough in building facilities.
