S.K Patel Institute of management and computer studies (SKPIMCS) was established in the year 1998 to provide higher educational facilities for training young students for careers in management, computer studies and other related fields in any form of organization. SKPIMCS is affiliated to Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya, Gandhinagar. It has been accredited B+ by NAAC Committee and it is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

The institute right from its commencement is sincerely committed to the enhancement of professional education in the areas of management and computer studies and hence has spared no efforts to create an academic environment conducive for effective learning. The Institute also provides project development assistance through its faculty to various Corporate Sectors like Peach Computers, Aspiring Minds, Unique Infotech, etc. This has resulted in getting various opportunities like placements as well as projects in organizations for students, providing experience and exposure of the corporate world to the students. It has also made efforts in the field of research and has developed a Research Centre too. The institute possesses all the relevant infrastructure facilities right from its inception, which very few premier institutes possess.

To this end, the institute has taken certain concrete and positive initiatives in molding the student's attitudes towards work, towards others, and most importantly, towards themselves. The attitudes would distinguish them from the others, help them to be humble, to be open to change yet be prudent enough to judge when and which change is for betterment. Due to these efforts SKPIMCS has been able to achieve maximum placement since many years.
