Dharmsinh Desai Institute of Technology is the First and only Technical University in whole of Gujarat state in India. DDIT, Nadiad was established in 1968 by Late shri Dharmsinh Desai MP from Kaira Dist, with a view to provide engineering and technical education to young persons of Gujarat. Initially only Chemical engineering courses were being offered, but over the years, more and more courses are added to the offerings, and today DDIT is well known throughout, at least western parts of India, as a premier Institute for studies in engineering and technology.
