Dr.V.H.Dave Homoeopathic Medical College has been always the pioneer institute in promoting homoeopathy in Gujarat. Through the inspiration of his Guru, Dr. V. H. Dave, the founder of institute, established Gujarat Homoeopathic Society as a registered charitable trust with registration number Kaira F - 124 on Dt : 30th Nov 1970.

This trust is totally dedicated to upliftment of homoeopathy both in education & medical field.This trust began its activities by opening a small charitable homoeopathic dispensary in small town like Anand which served the poor by dispensing homoeopathic medicines free of cost .The next venture that trust undertook was establishing Homoeopathic Medical College on Dt : 2nd July,1973 on the auspicious day of Rath Yatra and co-incidentally the death anniversary of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of Homoeopathy.

The college was granted permission to conduct full-time D.H.M.S. course of 4 years duration affiliated Gujarat Govt., and recognised by CCH, New Delhi.Since 1992 the college is affiliated to Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar and since then conducts the B.H.M.S. course of 51/2 years duration.To add feather in the cap, the institute also became the 1st institute in Gujarat to conduct Post graduate course in subjects of Materia Medica, Organon & Homoeopathic Philosophy & Repertory from July 2000. We consider this an honour bestowed upon us by CCH as recognition of consistent, sincere & unyielding efforts for upliftment of homoeopathic system in Gujarat.

During the tenure of 45 years the college has been involved in lot of constructive and social activities in homoeopathic fields. According to phrase that no theory is complete until it is successfully practiced, for each Homoeopathic educational institute, Hospital in a good working condition is a must and ours is one of the best institutes providing students ample of clinical exposure and opportunity to treat the patient.

Smt.S.I.Patel(Ipcowala)Homoeo. Hospital, attached to this college, treats the large number of patients from various regions.The Hospital is equipped with 34 beds & day by day it is progressing further by addition of new sophisticated equipments so that poor patients can get maximum advantage.

During its neonatal phase, the Indian stalwarts of homoeopathy like Dr.S.R.Wadia, Dr.C.C.Desai, Dr Bhanubhai desai, Dr.Anil Bhatia offered their noble service to the institute.We cannot forget their help and salute their dedication to Homoeopathy.
