Som-Lalit Institute of Management studies started its PGDM FT and PT programme in the year 1996 and MBA FT. programme in the year 1998 under the umbrella of Som-Lalit Education and Research Foundation. The PGDM programme is an autonomous course approved by the All India Council for Technical Education AICTE. MBA programme is affiliated with Gujarat Technological University approved by AICTE.

Som-Lalit Institute of Management Studies SLIMS, Ahmedabad was established in 1996. The college started its PGDM Full Time and Part-Time programme in the year 1996 and MBA Full Time programme in the year 1998 under the umbrella of Som-Lalit Education and Research Foundation. The college strives to provide a nucleus of world-class management education programmer within the framework of the Gujarat University. The institute aims to contribute to the society by developing responsible managers and outstanding individuals who will take up leadership challenges in various sectors of the economy. The main objective of the college is to help the students develop attitude to take up leadership challenges, to provide an opportunity to the students to understand possible career options and enhance their interaction with Organization for final placement & to help students develop knowledge, skills and attitude for dealing with business problems faced by managers.
