L. M. College of Pharmacy (LMCP), Ahmedabad was founded in 1947 on a humble donation of Rs. 3.0 lakhs by the family of late Seth Shri Lallubhai Motilal, after whom the college is named. The prestigious The Ahmedabad Education Society runs the college. The society runs more than twenty premier educational institutes in the city of Ahmedabad.

L. M. College is the first full-fledged pharmacy college established in India. The total campus area of the institute is 15 acres. The total built-up area of the college and hostel is 8600 sq. met. The area of Pharmacognosy garden is 6078 sq. met and the area of playground is 22932 sq. met. The college was affiliated with Bombay University in 1947. The college is affiliated with the Gujarat University from 1950 onwards. The college is situated in the heart of Ahmedabad and is well connected with all the parts of the city. The college is having permanent affiliation with the Gujarat University and it is approved by All India Council for Technical Education and Pharmacy council of India.

LMCP was founded in the year 1947, by the most trusted and philanthropic educational trust Ahmedabad Education Society, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad. LMCP is approved by AICTE and PCI, New Delhi, Government of India and affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad.
