Program in Computer Applications and Infomation Technology was established by the Gujarat University in 1998. This program aims at catering to the needs of IT industry, which requires skilled manpower with a thoroughy understanding of the various concepts and applications of Information Technology. The comprehensive Curriculum compares favourably with the best in the area., The program rightly stresses on a combination of theoretical concepts and practical exposure. The program in integrates student-industry interaction at three stages - Graduation level, in both the years of Post-Graduation in the form of projects and summer training. This enables the students to get hands-on experience and learn about the intricacies of the industry at an early stage of their career - a definite advantage that gives them an edge over others in the field. Moreover, the School also engages a number of visiting faculty who are practitioners and consultants in the respective fields. The Faculty and Administration will be in close contact with the students during the course of the programme. Both the conventional as well as non-conventional methods will be employed. The pedagogy of the School is very interactive with greater emphasis on learning.
