Sheth Haridas Achratlal College of Commerce popularly known as HACC is a single faculty commerce college established in 1956, offering graduate and post graduate commerce degree courses and nationally accredited with four stars in 2001 by N.A.A.C. Donated by philanthropist and visionary donor Sheth Shri Haridas Achratlal, the institute is affiliated to Gujarat University as a recognized college under section 2(F) and section 12(B) of the UGC Act. It is a grant-in-aid co-education college located at the centre of Ahmedabad. The institute is one of the 38 institutions managed by Gujarat Law Society, a leading educational trust in the state.

H.A. College of Commerce, a premier college for the B.Com. and M.Com. programmes in Gujarat University, is a nationally renowned institution. Our reasons to this claim are many:

The results of the college are always much higher than the university results.
Since its inception, H.A. College of Commerce has been adjudged, both, by the masses as well as critical authorities, as a top class college in Gujarat. As proof, we have, among other awards, the award for the Best College of the year in 1983, conferred by Gujarat State. The college was placed on the 2nd position all over Gujarat in the survey conducted by a leading daily the ‘Divya Bhaskar’ in 2006. We are proud to say that H.A. College of Commerce was ranked 19th all over India in the survey conducted by the leading magazine “India Today” in 2006. The National assessment Accreditation Council conferred the four star status to us. H.A. College of Commerce was the first Commerce College in Gujarat to be Accredited with 4 Star by NAAC in2001.
The faculty actively participates in various seminars conferences and workshops at state, national and International levels. Not only do they present and publish papers at these, but they also write for various books, are on the boards of many academic committees and/or continue with their further studies individually.
The alumni of this college have illustrious figures of the country, state and city in it, which is in the preliminary stages of its existence. Shri Sudhir Nanavati, Executive Vice-president, GLS, is also an alumnus of this college.
The sports achievements of the college have remained glorious. The championships that the college teams retain have been with the college for years together. The records that the college students have broken are as yet unbroken.
