The " Government Engineering College " at Gandhinagar was established in August 94, and is affiliated with Gujarat University and is recognized by ALL INDIA COUNCIL OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION. This institute offers following four, four years, full-time degree courses after Higher Secondary Examination.The intake capacity of each branch is of 60 students. The course is divided into eight semesters, each of six months. Till now the three batches of engineering graduates from the present college has been out. At present the college is working in M.S. building at 4th and 5th floor in sector -11. In future the college will be shifted at Chandkheda in Ahmedabad. The college has its own computer centre, where students have access to the computer when required. The faculties of the institute is a combination of experienced personalities and enthusiastic youngsters who are always ready to offer their guidance as and when seeked by the students. The college also provides rich library facility to the students., The institute arranges frequent industrial visits for the students so that they can have the idea about the latest technologies and invites the experts from the industries to give lectures in their field of expertise so that the students can take advantage of their expertise and knowledge. The college arranges cultural programs in order to bring out the hidden potential /ability of the students. The college hosts the different sports tournaments every year and sends students for various sports events arranged by various organizations/ colleges and universities.
