GLS Institute of Computer Technology is now almost twelve years old and was established in 1999 with approval from AICTE and Gujarat Technological University. It is a post-graduate center and offers an MCA and MBA program under self-finance scheme besides a BCA program readily available on the campus.

The computer laboratories of MCA have been put on a fiber optic backbone with 3Com Superstack Switches and have sharable Windows 2003, DS-10 Alpha OpenVMS RISC and Red Hat LINUX servers with all the necessary software packages and host of peripherals such as line printer, laser printer, inkjet printers, scanners, CD writer, DVD writer etc. Out of around 350 Pentium IV nodes, 140 machines are exclusively allocated to MCA programme.

This institute is housed in a spacious building having modern interiors that pleases the visitors as well as students. It has well equipped computer laboratories, comfortable classrooms, separate faculty rooms, seminar-cum-conference room for placement activities and other amenities. The library is also housed in the same premises for easy access by the students. The serene and congenial environment encourages the students to stay at the campus longer for preparation of assignments, laboratory work and further reading in the library. The All India Council of Technical Education and Gujarat University have approved this institute as Post Graduate center for conducting the MCA and MBA courses under self-financing scheme.
