Background, academic mission, and departmental profile
This department deals with the diseases of supraclavicular part of the body, which includes ENT, Ophthalmology and dentistry and also runs specialised clinics for the same. Leech application is being carried our in the patients of Stye, chalazion, blepheritis, etc. Significant studies have been carried out in the field of myopia, refractive errors, tinitus, migraine, chronic rhinitis, dental cavities, pyorrhea etc. An ophthalmic OT- Nimi Agara has been established for training the students in surgical procedures for Cataract, Glaucoma, Pterigium etc. Kriyakalpa- special occular therapeutic procedure is being done in the cases of refractive errors, chronic rhinitis, headache, hair falling, premature graying of hair etc. Nearly 57 M.D. & 6 Ph.D. theses have also been submitted through this department
