VCOE was established in the year 2010 under the aegis of Mata Vaishno Devi Educational Society with the aim to provide higher education to the Students. Ever since its inception in 1965, netaji Subhash Chandra bose memorial Government College, hamirpur has progressively emerged as one of the leading institution of higher learning in himachal Pradesh.
