Shri shivaji Arts & commerce College College was started in Rajura in 1984. Later on, science faculty was introduced in 1992. The science faculty comprises here Zoology, botany, Physics, chemistry and Mathematics. The post- graduation department in history was started started in 1994. Now our college runs post-graduation courses in English, Marathi, Political Science, sociology & Home Science facilities in junior and senior wing along with vocational courses in six subjects.

Government College Autonomous, Angul is the premier Institution for higher education in the District of Angul. It was established in the year 1957 but started functioning from the academic session 1958-59. Establishment of the college was possible by the pioneering effort of the then Chief Minister Dr. H. K. Mahatab and Sri Kumuda Chandra Singh the then MLA of Hindol.

Shri Krishan Law College was established in the year 2008. The college is affiliated to the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur and recognized by Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
