The College was established by the late patriarch Sh. Madan Lal Shah, a (retired) lawyer to promote women education in rural and semi urban areas in and around Jhunjhunu. Initial the college began as an undergraduate college, but upgraded to a post graduate level in 1989.

Hindu College, Sonepat was established in 1956. The prime mover behind the effort was Lala Dhani Ram Ji. Master Ji, the best mathematics teacher of his time, dedicated his whole life in the service of Hindu High School and is revered (why mince words- worshipped) by his old students and general public of the area.
