Jayaraj Annapackiam College for Women, a synonym for sterling service in Higher Education of women and a household name in Periyakulam Educational District was established on 5th July, 1971. It has been managed by the Sisters of St. Anne of Tiruchirapalli. Imparting Higher Education to the rural women, i.e. economically, educationally, socially and culturally backward. the college was crowned with “A GRADE” in the Re-Accreditation by the NAAC in 2008.

RD College, Sheikhpura was established in 1969. It was established by Late Sri Rajo Singh, a member of Parliament, a visionary, mass Leader and the creator of Sheikhpura District, with the help of intellectuals, social activist & common people of Sheikhpura. Sri Rajo Singh was the founder secretary of the college and continued to the post till the conversion of the college into a contituent unit of TM Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur.
