Ever since its inception in 1965, netaji Subhash Chandra bose memorial Government College, hamirpur has progressively emerged as one of the leading institution of higher learning in himachal Pradesh. The college has been accredited with ‘B++’ grade by national accreditation and assessment council (NAAC).

Sharing its boundary with International Cricket Stadium, having a clear view of majestic Dhauladhars and dark rain-rich Monsoon clouds, gurgling streams and towering White Mountains, Government Post Graduate College, Dharamshala, the college of excellence, carries a long magnificent history of its own and the institution is now eighty four years old. The foundation stone of the college was laid by Sir Louis Dane, the then Lt. Governor of Punjab on 4th May, 1912.

Government College Chamba was established in in the year 1958. The College is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. GC Chamba was accredited with ‘B+’ grade by NAAC in August 2016.
