Sarojini Naidu Vanita Maha Vidyalaya, started as a tiny tutorial college, known as UWCA (University Women’s Cultural Association) college in 1957 was handed over in 1961 to the Osmania Graduates’ Association (OGA). Nehru Memorial Government Degree College is situated in Jogipet of Medak district in Andhra Pradesh. Basically Jogipet is an extension of old village Andole and both these villages are twin villages with an agrarian economy. Historically Jogipet was part of the Nizam state ruled by Asafjahi dyunasty. The political awareness of the people was so high that the first Andhra Maha Sabha conference of 1930 was held at Jogipet and was presided over by Suravaram Pratap Reddy.

The M.V.S.Govt Arts & Science College, a desideratum in Mahabubnagar town was established in 1965 as a result of the untiring and dedicated efforts of Sri Pallerla Hanumantha Rao, and other elite of the town.
