Zunheboto Govt.College was established as a private College on the 21st of July,1980. It was sponsored and managed by the Sumi Hoho. Lt.Kughato Sukhai , the first and the then President of Sumi Hoho played a pioneering role by not only coming up with the idea of setting up a College, but also in establishing it.But initially,there was no proper fund, no infrastructure and no manpower to run a College.
Khelhoshe Polytechnc Atoizu KPA was established on 14th September 1972 as nagaland Polytechnic to serve the needs of the state of Nagaland, which till then had no Polytechnic.
