Govt. Degree College (Boys) Udhampur was set up in 1961 as a three year degree course in Science & Arts with a pre – university class attached to it. The first batch of 30 students was admitted on 27 June, 1961 and interestingly no. of girls (17) was more than no. of boys (13). The majestic campus of this decades' old college is situated in the outskirts of Udhampur town on a hillock overlooking the Devika, the sacred Ganges of Jammu region.

Ramnagar college is located at the Thaplal village at a distance of about 41 Km from Udhampur .The college was established in the year 2005, having area of about 300 kanals, providing a quiet and serene view and ideal for study and contemplation. The institution is affiliated to University of Jammu and recognized by UGC under section 2 f & 12 b of UGC Act 1956.

Bhaskar Degree College was established in the year 2010. It is being run under the aegis of Bhaskar Educational trust devoted to the promotion of general, professional and technical education. The college is recognized by the Govt. of J&K and is affiliated to the University of Jammu. It is housed in a multi storeyed building comprising of 30 spacious class-rooms, audio-visual rooms, seminar hall, administrative block, computer labs, multipurpose hall, examination hall and well stocked library...

Govt. Degree College Women is situated in Jammu & Kashmir State. The Govt. Degree College (Women) was started and now in a good condition also. The Govt.
