##NEWS## About Goa Institute of Management (GIM), Panjim The Goa Institute of Management (GIM) is a premier business school of India located in the state of Goa.

Goa College of Pharmacy (GCP) Goa was started in 1842, under the Portuguese rule. In 1963, (after the liberation in 1961), the college was renamed as ‘Goa College of Pharmacy’ and was shifted to its current location, which was formerly a Portuguese School. The courses offered by the college are approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The college is run by the Government of Goa and affiliated to University of Goa.

Government Polytechnic at Panaji-Goa grew out of an escola ( as an Institute is called in the Portuguese language ) in the earlier colonial era known La escola de industrial el commercial de Goa. This was the sole repository of technical manpower, needed for the industries of yore in Goa and elsewhere. In 1963, Government Polytechnic was granted accreditation to conduct initially three Diploma Programmes under the affiliation of the Board of Technical Examinations- Government of Maharastra.
