The Diploma Courses run by the Institution are affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education M.S.B.T.E., Mumbai.

Late Vasantdada Polytechnic has been established in August 1990 vide Directorate of Technical Education letter No.2/NGP/1090, Dated 20th August 1990. The institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi. The Diploma courses run by the institution are affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education M.S.B.T.E., Mumbai.

In 1994 the Government of Maharashtra and the Directorate of Technical Education, gave permission to Navodaya Shikshan Sanstha to start Shankarrao Dhawad Polytechnic on "No Grant - in - Aid" basis which has been recognized by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. The Institution have successfully completed 18 years of its tenure and most of the students will be absorbed in various jobs & higher studies.

J D Polytechnic is situated in Nagpur in Maharashtra state of India. it is accredited from AICTE and it is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education.
