A.V.C. College of Engineering was started in the year 1996 committed to social welfare. The founding father, Sri S. Ramalingam Pillai sowed the seeds of A.V. Charities in 1806 in memory of his beloved son Thiru Velayutham pillai. A.V. Charities began its educational services by starting the A.V.C. It was at the end of the last century that a great ancestor of the well known five families who now constitute the A.V.C. trust. Thiru.S. Ramalingam Pillai, set apart a sixth share of the property of his deceased son Thiru.R. Velayutham Pillai for charitable purposes. His descendents settled down in Anbanathapuram, Enathimangalam, Pallavarayapet, Kargudy and Kanganamputhur Villages. The property of the trust was managed by the eldest male member of the five families.

AVC Polytechnic College was established in the year 1983 with the aim to impart quality education to the young minds. Our objective is to develop confidence, self-motivation, problem solving skill sets and imbibe value education among our students.
