Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Engineering & Technology, Pauri is an Institute with total commitment to quality and excellence in academic pursuits. The College was established in 1989, as an autonomous body, with a view to fulfil the ever-growing demand for well-trained professionals. It is one of the few premier colleges imparting technical education in the state of Uttarakhand.

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Uttarakhand is one among the ten newly sanctioned NITs in 2009 by Government of India under the 11th five year plan. The Institute is fully funded by Government of India under the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Presently, NIT Uttarakhand is carrying out its activities from its temporary campus at Government Polytechnic, Srinagar Garhwal, Uttarakhand. THDC Institute of Hydropower Engineering and Technology was set up in the year 2011. It is spread across a vast 40 acres of land near the famous Tehri Dam of Uttarakhand. The institute is affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun & is approved by AICTE. THDC IHET offers a Bachelor of Technology across 6 streams. The admissions courses are on the basis of the JEE Mains score.

Government Polytechnic, Narendranagar was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 1975, for imparting technical education and to generate suitable technical manpower. The institute is fully financed by Government of Uttarakhand. It offers Diploma in Engineering in three branches, namely Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering ,Information Technology and Diploma in Pharmacy and P.G. Diploma in Computer Application .
