Kanhiyalal Maniklal Munshi Institute of Hindi and Linguistics, one of the oldest institutes of India, was initially visualized as 'AGRA UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF HINDI STUDTES'. Later it was named after the erstwhile Governor of Uttar Pradesh, His Excellency Kanhiya Lal Maniklal Munshi, also a well- Known Gujarati novelist. The Institute was established with a view to fostering and promoting higher studies and research in various academics fields, with Hindi being the focus language.
