Mahila Mahavidyalaya is founded on August 7, 1986 to cater to the needs of higher education of women of Karad town and nearby rural areas by Shikshan Mandal, Karad, a well known educational society of Western Maharashtra. The society has given more attention to quality excellence rather than multipoint expression. It has provided possible good infrastructure, human resources and more than this, leadership with vision.

In an era of fast changing scientific and technological advancements, stringent requirements in the functioning of technical institutions are imposed which requires continuous up gradation and addition of facilities. Keeping this view in mind, our Institute has always been trying to provide the best of facilities possible for the students. We do expect our students to be extra ordinary in the present technological scenario of globalization.

Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Yashwantrao Mohite Institute of Management, Karad is one of the unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Pune. It was established in 1994 and since then has been recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Govt. of Maharashtra. It has earned very high repute in the academic sphere and continue to contribute best management professionals to the industry.

With the blessings of Late Yashvantraoji Chavan and established by Government of Maharashtra, to provide the technical education in rural area, Government College of Pharmacy is located on a beautiful sprawling campus of an eight acres near the bank of Krishna-Koyana river at Karad.
