The origin of B. H. College dates back to January 1964 when Jadab Chandra Das, an eminent citizen, mooted the idea for establishing a College at Howly. Accordingly, a public meeting was held at Howly Chandi Barua Bhawan with Abdul Kader Choudhury, (Mouzadar) as President, and all those who were present very much appreciated the idea and unanimously decided to establish the College at the earliest.
