D.P. Bhosale College was established by Vidya Prasarak Mandal of Koregaon in June 1968. It is a grant-in-aid college affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The inspiration for inception of this college came from Hon.Y.B. Chavan- former Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Deputy Prime Minister of India, Hon. Dadasaheb Jagatap- Ex. MLA of Koregaon constituency and Hon. Dhondoji Patloji Bhosale of village Nagazari of Koregaon Tehsil.

The year 2009 is celebrated as our Decade-completion year. On June 1998, hon. Mr. Annasaheb Dange laid the foundation of his dream project of Educationally Empowering Rural India at rural and desolate area of Hatkanangale. By deterministically fighting all the odds; through 10 years, the college headed towards the educational upliftment of rural mass.
