Chengannur is a municipality in the Alappuzha district of the state of Kerala. Chengannur has a literacy rate of 96.26% (males: 97.90%, females: 94.80%). The College of Engineering Chengannur, which is managed by IHRD, is situated inside Chengannur town. Christian College is another college of arts and sciences located near the MC road about 3 km from Chengannur town.
