NID DAT Question Papers
Previous NID DAT papers help applicants understand the style of design-aptitude questions and practise under time constraints. The IndCareer legacy question-paper archive includes references to papers from 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2020 and earlier years; availability and answer material vary by year. Use official NID publications where available and check rights and source before downloading or sharing a paper.
Paper pattern
The official 2027–28 portal confirms DAT Prelims and DAT Mains and refers to a subjective part in Prelims. It does not, on the page checked, give complete section counts, duration, marks or marking rules. DAT Mains is for candidates shortlisted from Prelims; consult the programme-specific handbook for its tasks and evaluation. Do not project an older paper's structure onto the current test.
How to use the archive
- Start with the current handbook and identify which older papers remain relevant to the announced format.
- Use the official NID admissions portal for any paper, sample paper or practice material it publishes.
- Attempt a paper in a timed setting, then review clarity, originality, observation and how well each response addresses the brief.
- Use answer keys or solutions only when their provenance is clear; coaching explanations are not official NID keys.
