The One-Day Training cum Workshop on Biomass Fermentation and Distillation for Bioethanol Production is organized by the Centre for Waste Management and Centre of Excellence for Energy Research (Bioenergy Division), Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, on 27 November 2026 (9 AM–4 PM).
The workshop provides hands-on training in biomass characterization, separation of lignin, cellulose and hemicellulose, fermentation, distillation and alcohol detection. It also includes a laboratory visit.

Venue: Biofuel lab, 3rd floor International Resaerch centre, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai.
Certificate and lunch will be provided.
