About VSKU Bellary
Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Bellary (VSKUB) is a public university established in 2010 by the Government of Karnataka at Bellary district through the Karnataka State Universities Act 2000. It has been named after Krishnadevaraya, former emperor of the Vijayanagara Empire. VSKUB has jurisdiction of two districts: Bellary and Koppal. The university is an affiliating university with about 100 affiliated colleges offering both undergraduate and post graduate programs.
VSKU has two post graduate campuses. The main campus, "Jnana Sagara" is located at Vinayaka Nagar, Bellary. The campus is spread over an area of about 100 acres, houses all the key administrative departments of the university as well as 14 post graduate departments. The second campus "Jnana Sarovara" is located at Nandihalli in Sandur Taluka of Bellary District. This lush green campus has 10 post graduate courses with adequate hostel facilities both for boys and girls as well as accommodation to faculty.
