Applied Mechanics Discipline (Structural Engineering):

Eligibility:

  • B.E./B.Tech./AMIE in Civil Engineering.
  • M.E./M.Tech in Structural Engineering/Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering/Structural Engineering related specialization/Civil Engineering/Excavation Engineering/Mining Engineering/Rock Mechanics/Geotechnical Engineering/Material Engineering/Construction Management/Urban Planning/Transportation Engineering/Forensic Structural Engineering/AIML/Civionics.
  • Minimum first class or 6.75 CPI/CGPA on a 10-point scale at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.

Application Process:

  1. Visit the institute website at https://vnit.ac.in/admission to access the application form.
  2. Pay the application fee of Rs 500/- per application form online through VNIT’s online payment portal (Link: https://pay.vnit.ac.in/home). Upon payment, note down the VNIT Payment Reference Number and mention it in the application form. Also, attach the printed copy of the payment receipt.
  3. Fill out the application form completely and accurately.
  4. Gather photocopies of the required certificates (self-attested), a recent photograph, and the payment receipt.
  5. Send the duly filled application form along with the photocopies of certificates and payment receipt by speed post or hand delivery to:The Deputy Registrar (Academic)VNIT, South Ambazari Road,Nagpur – 440010 (M.S.)Please mention on the envelope: PhD- [Name of Department].
  6. Incomplete applications or those received after the last date will be rejected.

Selection Procedure:

  • Selection will be based on an Entrance Test and Interview.
