Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who have passed the qualifying 12th standard examination (10+2) or its equivalent with science subjects and have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Botany & Zoology taken together, and passed in English individually, are eligible for admission to the B.Sc. (Nursing) Programme. English must be a compulsory subject in 10+2 for eligibility.
  • For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories, the marks obtained in three core subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) shall be 40%, and they must have passed in English individually.
  • Candidates who are appearing for the HSC (+2) or its equivalent examination in March/April 2024 are also eligible to appear for the entrance examination.
  • Candidates belonging to any State/Union Territory of India only are eligible for admission.

  • AGE LIMIT: Candidates should have completed the age of 17 years on or before December 31, 2024.

Application Process

  • Application forms are available online only at https://vmrfdu.edu.in/. Candidates should fill them out carefully with complete details and submit them online along with scanned copies of their Mark Sheet(s), photograph, and signature as attachments.
  • During online registration, candidates who have not uploaded their H.Sc (10+2) Mark Sheet(s) should submit a photocopy of the H.Sc (10+2) Mark Sheet(s) on or before May 25, 2024, either in person or by email to [email protected], or by courier.

Admission Process

  • Selection will be made on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates in the Entrance Examination. Intimation letter will be sent by e-mail to the candidates provisionally selected for admission. College allotment will be made through counseling in the order of merit.

Exam Pattern

The examination will be conducted at SALEM, PUDUCHERRY & KARAIKAL. The All India Entrance Examination will be conducted in ENGLISH only. The question booklet will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (single best response) covering the following subjects:

  • Physics – 20 Questions
  • Chemistry – 20 Questions
  • Biology (Botany & Zoology) – 20 Questions
  • Aptitude Nursing – 20 Questions
  • English – 20 Questions

The total marks will be 100, and the duration of the examination will be 3 hours. All questions must be answered, and they carry equal marks. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. Correct answers must be shaded with a pencil on the OMR Answer Sheet provided along with the question booklet.

The syllabus for the Entrance Examination will be based on the H.Sc (10+2) syllabus followed by major H.Sc (10+2) Boards.

Candidates are advised to be at the Examination Centre at least an hour before the commencement of the Examination.
