UPESEAT Exam

Candidates appearing for the exam were advised to check the UPESEAT 2026 exam pattern and syllabus for their preparations. Applicants were suggested to also refer to the UPESEAT sample paper to ace the exam with a good score. UPESEAT 2026 is conducted as a computer-based test in test centres and an online-based mode on April 1 and 2. The UPESEAT 2026 online test is held for two hours.

Eligibility Criteria

The exam conducting authority releases the UPESEAT eligibility criteria along with the official notification. Applicants appearing for the exam must check the UPESEAT eligibility criteria 2026 before filling the application form. The eligibility criteria of UPESEAT 2026 comprises age limit, educational qualification and performance in entrance exams. Applicants who fulfil the UPESEAT 2026 eligibility criteria will only be eligible to fill the application form. The admissions to B.Tech courses in UPES are done through four modes – UPESEAT, JEE Main, SAT, and Merit Board. For more details, applicants can refer to the information below.

Age Limit: All the candidates applying for admission to the University will be required to have an age of less than or equivalent to 22 years i.e., they should be born on or after October 1, 2000 to be eligible to apply.

There are two separate admission processes, the non-examination, and Board exam merit. The eligibility criteria of UPESEAT 2026 for the non-examination pathway is the same as the general criteria mentioned above in addition to the score received in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main).

Minimum 50% marks in class X and XII with minimum 50 % in PCM (Physics/Chemistry and Mathematics) in class XII. (School of Advanced Engineering/ School of Computer Science) 

For B.Tech. Mathematics and Computing program: Minimum 70% marks in Class X and XII, along with 70% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class XII. OR

Minimum 50% marks in class X & XII with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Math’s, and English as a major subject in XII (School of Health Sciences and Technology)

UPESEAT/ JEE Mains/ Board Merit/ SAT/ CUET

• For B.Tech. programs, the performance of individual candidates in UPESEAT/ JEE Mains (Min. 50 percentile & above)/ SAT (Min. 1040 score & above)/ Board Merit (Min. 80% marks in class X and XII along with 80% aggregate marks in PCM).
• For B.Tech. Mathematics and Computing program, the performance of individual candidates in UPESEAT/ JEE Mains (Min. 60 percentile & above)/ SAT (Min. 1150 score & above)/ Board Merit (Min. 80% marks in class X and XII along with 80% aggregate marks in PCM) followed by Personal Interview.
