UP B.Sc Nursing (UP CNET) Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University Common Nursing Entrance Test, candidates must fulfill certain criteria. These criteria typically include age restrictions, educational qualifications, and a minimum percentage requirement in the qualifying examination. Age: –

  1. Minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December 2023.
  2. The maximum age limit for admission is 35 years for Unreserved (UR), OBC, EWS, SC and ST, however the maximum age for candidates with Physical Disability (PD/PwD) will be 40 years. (As per INC regulation).

Minimum qualifications for admission are as per INC Regulation: –

  1. Candidates with Science who have passed qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2) and
    must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB)
    taken together and passed in English individually from any recognized board.
  2. In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC the marks obtained in 3 core subjects
    shall be 40% instead of 45% for General Category candidates.
  3. English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for eligibility for admission in B.Sc. Nursing.
  4. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and
    National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by central government having Science
    subjects and English only.
  5. Color Blind candidates are eligible provided that color corrective contact lens and
    spectacles are worn by such candidates.
  6. The selection of candidates will be subject to medical fitness. No selected candidate will be
    permitted to join the course unless declared medically fit by the Medical Board appointed by
    the University.
  7. Married candidates are also eligible.

UP B.Sc Nursing (UP CNET) Examination Fee

  1. Candidates for the entrance test will have to pay a fee of Rs. 3000/- for Unreserved/Other
    Backward Classes (UR/OBC) and Rs. 2000/- for SC/ST/PwD.
  2. Examination Fee shall be submitted online after successful online registration of candidate.
  3. Once the fee has been submitted there shall be no refund of fee.
  4. Fee is non-transferable for any other examination.

UP B.Sc Nursing (UP CNET) Admit Card

Once the application process is complete, eligible candidates will receive their admit cards. The admit card serves as an entry ticket to the examination center and contains essential details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, and allocated center. It is important to carry the admit card to the exam center along with a valid photo ID for verification purposes.

  1. Admit Cards will be available online & can be downloaded through the ABVMU website -www.abvmuup.edu.in through individual logins by the candidate using their Registered Id
    Number & Date of Birth.
  2. The candidate has to appear for the Examination at the allotted Centre on the Date and
    timing as indicated in their Admit Card. No. candidate will be allowed to appear at the
    Examination Centre, on the Date and Timing other than that allotted to him/her in his / her
    Admit Card.
  3. The candidate should take a coloured print out of the admit card.
  4. The candidate may note that the Admit Card will not be sent by post.
  5. In no case, the duplicate Admit Card for CNET 2023-24 would be issued at the Examination
    Centres.
  6. The candidate must not mutilate the Admit Card or change any entry made therein.
  7. Candidates are advised to preserve their Admit Card in good condition for future reference.
  8. Issue of Admit Card, however, shall not necessarily mean acceptance of eligibility which
    shall be further scrutinized at subsequent stages of the admission process
  9. The candidate will be photographed/videographed along with their Admit Card at the
    Examination Centre for verification
  10. Digital format of the Admit Card will not be accepted at the Centre

UP B.Sc Nursing (UP CNET) Result

After the completion of the entrance test, the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University will declare the results on its official website. Candidates can check their results by entering their roll numbers or other required details. Based on the merit list, eligible candidates will be called for counseling sessions where they can select their preferred nursing programs and colleges.

a) Date of Declaration of results of Entrance Examination will be announced on the official

b) The merit list will be prepared from the marks obtained in the Entrance Examination. A
combined merit list and category wise merit list will be drawn
c) The inter-se-merit of candidates for tie-breaking:
In case of two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the CNET the inter-se-merit shall be determined as follows:

  1. Candidate obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test, followed by
  2. Candidate obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the Test, followed by,
  3. Candidate obtaining higher marks in Physics in the Test, followed by,
  4. Intermediate (10+2) examination marks percentage (if in case the marks are same the inter merit ranking of individual marks in order of Biology, Chemistry, Physics will be considered).
