Eligibility Criteria

Nativity: Candidates must be Indian citizens. Foreign candidates are subject to relevant regulations.

Indulgence in Ragging as Disqualification: Admission will be denied or the student expelled from the institution if they are found to have engaged in ragging in the past or if such behavior is discovered later. At the time of admission, students must provide an undertaking in accordance with the provisions of the anti-ragging verdict by the Honorable Supreme Court of India (Annexure VI).

Academic Eligibility

(i) A. For PG Programs:
Students who have completed the 10+2+3 scheme and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Kerala or a degree recognized as equivalent shall be eligible for admission to PG programs if they meet the following criteria:
(a) CGPA of 2 or above on a 4-point scale, or
(b) 3.5 or above on a 7-point scale, or
(c) 5 or above on a 10-point scale, or
(d) 50% or above in case of Bachelor Degrees which award marks.
Relaxation for candidates from the SC/ST category is as follows:
(a) CGPA of 1.8 or above on a 4-point scale,
(b) 3.15 or above on a 7-point scale,
(c) 4.5 or above on a 10-point scale,
(d) 45% or above in case of Bachelor Degrees which award marks.

(iii) Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in subjects specified in Schedule I for admission to corresponding PG Programs. The CSSAC is authorized to recommend revisions to Annexure I periodically, based on the recommendations of the Department Councils.

(iv) Candidates who have appeared for the Bachelor’s Degree Examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.

Application Process

Any candidate wishing to enroll in a PG Degree Program in the University Departments must register online at http://admissions.keralauniversity.ac.in. Each candidate can apply for a maximum of 4 programs through a single registration. After successfully completing the online registration, the candidate should print out the registration confirmation.

Application Fee

  • General: Rs. 750/- : SC/ST: Rs. 500/-
  • Additional Subjects: General: Rs. 105/-
  • Additional Subjects: SC/ST: Rs. 55/-
  • The Registration fee can be remitted by online payment only. A candidate who does not belong to SC/ST Community will be treated as “General” candidate for this purpose. Candidates shall not remit the fee in any other form like Demand Draft, Cheque etc.

Selection Process

  • Selection will be based on a written test.

Pattern of Entrance Examinations:

The entrance examinations will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for 100 marks, covering subject knowledge from the qualifying examination and/or logical and numerical reasoning. The duration of the exam will be a maximum of 2 hours. Candidates must score above zero in the entrance examination conducted by the University of Kerala.

Marking of Entrance Examinations: The answer scripts of the entrance examination will be marked digitally or by examiners from a panel approved by the Honorable Vice Chancellor.

Negative Marks: There will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in multiple choice questions in the entrance examination.
