The student shall submit his/her thesis to the Registrar within five years but not earlier than 2.5 years in case of regular and 3.5 years in case of part time student from the date of his/her admission

Admit cards will be sent to the candidates through a registered email ID filled in the application form. Candidates are advised to check their email (including Junk/Spam).
Entrance Test Details:
- The Entrance Test for the Ph.D. program will be conducted offline.
- It will consist of 80 objective type questions.
- The duration of the Entrance Test will be 90 minutes.
- The total marks for the test will be 80.
- The test will cover the relevant subject area.
- The cut-off marks in the entrance test will be 50% (45% for SC/ST) of the total marks.
- There will be no negative marking in the test.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates applying for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy program must hold an M.E./M.Tech./M.Phil./MCA/M.Sc./M.Com/M.Pharma/M.A./M.B.A./C.A. or equivalent degree with a minimum CGPA of 6.00 on a 10-point scale or 60% (55% for SC/ST/Differently-Abled candidates) marks in aggregate where marks are awarded. Alternatively, they should be GATE/GPAT/NET (UGC/CSIR) qualified.
- Applicants with a B.E./B.Tech./B.Pharma degree or its equivalent, possessing an outstanding academic record (minimum CGPA of 9.00 on a 10-point scale or 80% marks in aggregate), may also be considered for admission.
- Relaxation in CGPA to 7.00 on a 10-point scale or in marks to 65% for the minimum eligibility conditions may be granted to candidates holding a B.E./B.Tech. degree or equivalent, provided they have at least 3 years of professional and/or research experience in the relevant area of study.
Eligibility for Teaching Associateship:
- Candidates eligible for Teaching Associateship must be GATE/GPAT/NET (UGC/CSIR) qualified.
- A minimum CGPA of 6.0 (on a 10-point scale) or 60% marks in the qualifying exam is required.
- In cases where GATE/GPAT/NET (UGC/CSIR) qualified candidates are unavailable due to departmental/school teaching load requirements, consideration may be given to PhD candidates who are not GATE/GPAT/NET (UGC/CSIR) qualified.
- These candidates must have a minimum CGPA of 7.0 (on a 10-point scale) or 70% marks in the qualifying exam to be eligible for Teaching Associateship.
- Additionally, the candidate must have completed their coursework, including the Seminar component.

- Mode of Payment : Through the Payment Gateway (online mode) or Demand Draft (offline mode).

Selection Process
- Candidates will be admitted based on the merit of an Entrance Test and Interview conducted by the Institute.
- Only candidates scoring a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in the written exam will be called for the Interview.
- During the Interview, candidates are expected to indicate their area of research interest.
- The Institute will provide relaxation in appearing for the entrance test to candidates who have qualified GATE/CSIR-UGC NET or any other national exam conducted by central government departments or their agencies and institutions.
