Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility required for admission to a Ph.D. Programme shall be a Master’s Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade.

Candidates possessing M.Phil. Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade and Master’s degree with 50% marks in aggregate in the discipline concerned shall also be eligible for admission to Ph.D. programme.

Admission Procedure

Sushant University offers doctoral research programme leading to the award of Ph.D. degree and aims at developing individuals into distinguished researchers in the field of architecture, design, engineering, management, computer sciences, law and applied sciences. Respective schools of the university offer Ph.D. programmes with a strong focus on promoting inter-disciplinary
research in these areas.

The duration for the Part time and Full time Ph. D. programme is 3 years. The maximum duration (from the date of registration) of Ph. D. programme will not exceed 6 years. Thereafter, the registration stands cancelled automatically, unless, for valid reasons, the Vice-Chancellor grants an extension of usually not more than six months subject to the payment of re-registration charges as per policy.

(i) Online application form is available on the website of the university and can be filled by visiting the link: www.sushantuniversity.edu.in
(ii) A candidate is required to fill the complete details given in the application form.
(iii) The duly filled application form will be processed only if accompanied by the receipt of payment of application fees.
(iv) After completion of the application process, the candidate is required to take a print out of the form and produce it for document verification at the time of interview.

Entrance Test

Entrance Test for admission to Ph. D. programme would aim at judging the aptitude and potential to do research work. There will be two papers; first being Research Methodology and the second being Subject Specific.
