About
B.SC. in Agriculture at the School of Agriculture consists of a curriculum that is very broad and interdisciplinary consisting of courses in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Agricultural Economics, Extension education, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Food Technology, Animal Husbandry apart from supporting courses in Basic Sciences, Humanities and Agricultural Engineering. B.Sc.(Ag.) holders are given some benefits as they receive higher stipend than B.Sc. holders in DBT supported post graduate courses in Biotechnology. Even for the Gazette post like Agricultural Officer (Agronomist), the Basic educational requirement is B.Sc. in Agriculture.
The target of School of Agriculture at Renaissance University is to focus on areas where students can enhance their abilities to deal with the challenges in the field. Our main focus is on:
- Experiential Learning (EL)
- Rural Agriculture Work Experience (RAWE)
- In Plant Training/ Industrial Attachment of the ICAR Fifth Deans’ Committee
- Hands-on Training ( HOT)
- Skill Development Training
- Students Projects
Once a student graduates from the School of Agriculture a lot of Government as well as Private job opportunities are available for them. As for Government jobs, State Agriculture Departments recruits Graduates to fill up Officer level posts. Government Banks also recruits Graduates to fill up Officer level posts (generally dealing with Loans). If the student opts for Private Sector jobs, they may find jobs as Managers at Plantations, as Officers at Fertilizer Manufacturing firms, Agriculture Machinery Industries, Agricultural Products Marketing firms, Food processing units etc. Average starting salary is generally between 2-4.5 Lakh Rupees per year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have scored 50% (for SC/ST/OBC 45%) marks in aggregate in 12th Standard or an equivalent examination in the stream of PCM/PCB/PCMB/ Agriculture (P- Physics, C- Chemistry, M- Mathematics, B- biology), recognized by State or Central Education Board.

Admission Guidelines
The following Admission Guidelines are strictly adhered to by Renaissance University :-
- The minimum Prerequisite to apply for admissions in any of the Undergraduate programs is to achieve a 12th class passing certificate from any recognized board of India.
- The minimum Prerequisite for Foreign Nationals to apply for admissions in any of the Undergraduate programs is to achieve and submit an equivalent of 12th class passing certificate recognized in that country and meeting the equivalence criteria of 'Association of Indian University'.
- The Prerequisite to apply for admissions in any of the Postgraduate programs is to be a graduate from any recognized University of India.
- The Prerequisite for Foreign Nationals to apply for admissions in any of the Postgraduate programs is to submit a graduation degree awarded by a recognized University of that country and meeting the equivalence criteria of 'Association of Indian University'.
- The University reserves the final discretion with regards to the admission of a student.
- The admission criteria for the students of General Category will be different from students belonging to SC, ST or Other backward classes.
- The fees structure for Indian students and International students may vary.
- Renaissance University reserves the right to disqualify any student from the admission process who has not completed the age of 17 years.
