Punjabi University Patiala’s Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) has released a notification inviting applications for admission to various UG, PG, and Certificate Programs through open and distance learning mode for the academic year 2024-25. Established in 1968, the Centre for Distance and Online Education is one of the oldest departments of distance education in the country. It was the second institute in the country to adopt the non-formal mode of imparting education. Additionally, it was the first center in India to introduce a regional language as a medium of instruction and examination. Presently, the Centre manages 34 multi-faculty programs.

- Certificate Course – Certificate Course in Questions Document and Finger Print Analysis

- Last Date without late fee: 28th February 2024
Eligibility Criteria
- For UG Courses: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent degree from a recognized board.
- For PG Courses: Candidates must have passed Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in any discipline from a recognized University.

Application Process:
Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website https://www.pupdepartments.ac.in/de/. This session, the admission-cum-examination form has to be filled online. The fee also has to be paid online only.
- After applying online (along with the fee), the hard copy of the form along with required documents has to be sent only by Post/Courier within one week of applying online.
- Online forms will be rejected if the full fee is not paid along with it, and no hard copy of the form will be considered for admission if the online form (and fee) is not filled.
- Non-admission of students under such conditions will be the sole responsibility of the student and not of the department.
- Students who have filled the course in the fee receipt must write/enclose a letter for change/adjustment of fee to the actual course and send it along with a printout of the admission form to Head, Distance Education Department, Punjabi University Patiala if both courses belong to the Distance Education Department.
- The Prospectus of the Department of Distance Education for the session has been uploaded. Kindly go through it carefully before applying for any course.

- Mode of Payment : Through online Debit Card/Credit Card/Net banking
Admission Procedure
- Admission will be based on merit based on marks obtained at 10+2 level/graduation level.
