The National Exit Test (NExT) is a proposed examination for all MBBS students in India that is required to pass the final year and obtain a license to practice medicine. Admissions to postgraduate courses will be based on the merit of a candidate in NEXT. Introduced by the National Medical Commission Bill 2019, NEXT will also serve the purpose of Screening Test for Foreign Medical Graduates who are now required to qualify Medical Council of India Screening Test (Foreign Medical Graduates Examination or FMGE) and will for admission into postgraduate medical courses.

Here are some of the key features of the NExT exam:

  • It will be a common licentiate examination for all MBBS students in India.
  • It will replace the university-level final MBBS examination, NEET-PG and FMGE.
  • It will be a mandatory requirement for all MBBS graduates to practice medicine in India.
  • It will be a computer-based test.
  • The syllabus for the exam will be based on the NMES.
  • The exam will be conducted in two phases.

NExT will be held as per scheduled exam date. The National Exit Test (NExT) is a National level Medical entrance exam. It is organized by National Medical Commission (NMC) for admission to Postgraduate Medical Education in Broad Medical Specialities in Medical Colleges in India. NExT Exam Date

NExT Exam

The NExT exam will be conducted in two phases: NExT-1 and NExT-2. NExT-1 will be conducted after the completion of the final year examination, while NExT-2 will be conducted post the Internship program. The exam will be a computer-based test and will consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs). The syllabus for the exam will be based on the National Medical Education Standards (NMEs) and will cover all the subjects taught in the MBBS curriculum.

The NExT admit card refers to the hall ticket. Students who apply on time are issued the NExT admit card. NMC releases the admit card at nmc.org.in. Only those students who show the admit card of NExT exam and other required documents on exam day get entry at the center.

NExT Answer Key

The answer key is the set of correct answers to the NExT 2023 question paper. You can check the NExT answer key only after the exam ends. If NMC releases the NExT official answer key, then you can download it at nmc.org.in

NExT Result
