NEET SS 2025 will be conducted on 29, 30 March 2025 decided by NBEMS. NEET SS (National Eligibility Entrance Test for Super Speciality) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) for admission to Doctorate of Medicine (DM) and Master of Chirurgie (MCh) super speciality courses in India. The exam is conducted annually for admission to 2,447 DM and MCh seats across 156 institutes in the country. It is a qualifying-cum-ranking examination for admission to super speciality medical courses for the current academic year.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for NEET SS, candidates must fulfil the following criteria:
- Hold a postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) or an equivalent qualification in the relevant field from a recognized board
- Have a provisional or permanent registration certificate from the State Medical Council (SMC) or National Medical Commission (NMC)
- Foreign nationals must be registered with the respective medical authority of their country
Key Points:
- Candidates appearing for their final postgraduate exam are also eligible to apply
- MCI/SMC registration is not required for foreign nationals, but they need to be registered with their respective country’s medical authority
- Temporary MCI registration will be provided to foreign nationals if they qualify, valid until the duration of their postdoctoral degree
NEET SS Exam Pattern
The exam pattern is as follows
- Mode of Exam – The exam is a Computer based examination.
- Question type – The questions are MCQ.
- Number of Questions – There are 150 questions in the entrance exam.
- Total Marks – Maximum marks in the exam is 600.
- Exam Duration – The entrance exam is of 2 ½ hours.
Marking Scheme –
- Candidates get +4 marks for correct answer.
- And negative marks is -1 for incorrect answers
