The MP PAT 2026 examination will be held on 08 May 2026. Its answer key has released. The Madhya Pradesh Pre Agriculture Test (MP PAT) is a State-level entrance exam for Agriculture. Organized by the Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MP ESB), it facilitates admissions to B.Sc H Agriculture, B.Sc H Horticulture, B.Sc H Forestry, and B.Tech Agriculture Engineering in Agricultural Sciences and Technology colleges in Madhya Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria

• B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture/ B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture, B.Sc. (Hons) Forestry: Passed 12th class or equivalent examination of 10+2 with required subjects of Board of Secondary Education Madhya Pradesh
  • Science Group – i.e. Physics, Chemistry and any one of the following (1) Mathematics, (2) Biology (3) Agriculture OR
  • Agriculture group
    • Science and Mathematics useful for agriculture
    • Crop production and horticulture and elements of animal husbandry and poultry farming. OR
  • Science Group – i.e. biology, chemistry and agriculture
• B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering):  Candidates must have passed 10+2 with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, English, and Math. Those candidates whose results are still awaited for class 12th can also apply.

Mode of Payment

• Through online Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking
• An amount of Rs 60/- has to be paid if the application is submitted via the Kiosk portal.
• An amount of Rs 20/- has to be paid if the application is submitted through a registered citizen user.

MP PAT Exam

If you will appear in MP PAT exam, then you should know the mode, important topics, question distribution, marking scheme. This is the MP PAT exam pattern.

The exam pattern is as follows

• Mode of Exam – The exam  is a Online test.
• Question type – The questions are Objective.
• Number of Questions – There are 200 questions in the entrance exam.
• Total Marks – Maximum marks in the exam is 200.
• Exam Duration – The entrance exam is of 3 hours.

Marking Scheme – 

• Candidates get +1 marks for correct answer.
• And negative marks is 0 for incorrect answers

📚 Syllabus Overview

The syllabus is based on the Class 11 and 12 curriculum of the MP Board and CBSE.

• Physics: Units & Dimensions, Motion, Work/Energy/Power, Thermodynamics, Optics.
• Chemistry: Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Solid State, Organic Chemistry.
• Maths/Biology/Agriculture: Specific to the stream selected by the candidate. For Agriculture students, topics include Crop Production, Animal Husbandry, and Poultry Farming.

Admission Process & Counselling Timeline

1. Notification: MPPEB releases the official notification on the ESB website.
2. Application: Candidates must register online, upload required documents, and pay the application fee.
3. Admit Card: Released 10-15 days prior to the exam date.
4. Entrance Exam: Conducted via CBT mode.
5. Counselling: Centralized web-based counseling is conducted for seat allotment based on rank.
