About Bachelor of Design (B.Des.)
- MIT-WPU’s Bachelor of Design is a four year full time degree wherein aspirants gain expertise choosing across Product Design, User Experience Design, Fashion & Apparel Design and Visual Communication Design programs. Within these programs, you will learn to use innovative processes to (re)solve problems creatively for a better future. You will gain knowledge, develop skills, while working on real-projects at times.
- In these programs, you will be driven to use creative abilities to create desirable, feasible, viable and sustainable solutions. The programs blend the humanities, sciences and arts within a single degree. The School of Design leverages the strong industry connect developed over MIT-WPUs operation over the last four decades while driving its own connect relevant for sourcing projects and opportunities for students. This translates into prominent industry names coming to campus for guest lectures & one to one sessions where they share their experiences. The design programs in their entirety, help you to develop a knack for creativity, innovation, critical thinking and problem (re)solving attitude.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidate should have passed 10+2 from science, Commerce, Arts & Humanities etc. (HSC, CBSE, ICSE, IB Diploma (of the International Baccalaureate office, Geneva, Switzerland), IGCSE (University of Cambridge) or their equivalent as can be stated/or established by Association of Indian Universities(AIU), www.aiuweb.org)) securing aggregate 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only), Candidate who have their 10+2 results pending will be provisionally admitted subject to the furnishing the certificates when available. Candidates should have also qualified in MIT-WPU Design Aptitude Test(DAT) 2022 or obtained a positive score in UCEED 2022.
Selection Criteria
Inter-se-merit based on score in MIT-WPU UGPET DAT (Design Aptitude Test) 2022 and PI
- MIT-WPU UGPET DAT (Design Aptitude Test) 2022 – Online proctored entrance exam – 100 marks and
- Personal Interview – 50 marks
Note: The UCEED 2022 based admissions and MIT-WPU UGPET DAT admissions are for 50% and 50% of the B.Des. seats respectively

Tasks as deemed necessary. MIT-WPU DAT 2022 through UGPET is a Computer Based Test, testing general knowledge, logical
reasoning, analytical thinking, observation, environmental and social awareness, visualisation, spatial skills, and design sensitivity along the lines of UCEED 2022 but for a two hour duration.
