MAH B.P.Ed CET Syllabus

The MAH B.P.Ed CET syllabus consists of two sections, namely Mental Ability and General Knowledge in Physical Education.

Section A: Mental Ability

This section assesses the candidate’s mental ability and reasoning skills. The topics covered in this section are as follows:

  • Verbal and non-verbal reasoning: Analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, etc.
  • Analytical reasoning: Blood relations, direction sense test, seating arrangements, puzzle test, syllogism, etc.
  • Relationship concepts: Relationship problems, family tree, etc.
  • Numerical ability: Simplification, ratios and proportions, percentages, averages, interest, time and work, time and distance, profit and loss, basic algebraic identities of school algebra and elementary surds, graphs of linear equations, etc.

Section B: General Knowledge in Physical Education

This section assesses the candidate’s knowledge of physical education. The topics covered in this section are as follows:

  • Anatomy and Physiology: Structure and functions of the human body, skeletal system, muscular system, respiratory system, digestive system, excretory system, circulatory system, nervous system, endocrine system, etc.
  • Sports Management: Administration of sports, sports facilities, sports training, sports infrastructure, sports organizations, etc.
  • Sports Psychology: Motivation, stress, anxiety, aggression, team dynamics, leadership, goal setting, etc.
  • Sports Medicine: Injuries, recovery, rehabilitation, sports injuries, doping, etc.
  • History of Physical Education: Ancient Olympic Games, modern Olympic Games, development of physical education in India, etc.
