Eligibility Criteria

Before applying and appearing for the KU PGCET exam, candidates must check the eligibility criteria which is prescribed by the conducting authority. In case a candidate fails to meet the criteria mentioned below, they will be rejected for the admission process.

Nationality

Candidates should be an Indian national. They should belong to Telangana state only and should satisfy the local and Non-local requirements as laid down by the Telangana State Education Institution.

Educational Qualification

Students who have passed or appeared for the final year intermediate examination of 2023 are eligible for 5 years of integrated M.Sc course. Students belonging to the general category must have secured marks ranking between 45-50% and reserved category candidates should have secured 50% marks in the qualifying exam.

Age Limit

There are no age restrictions to be eligible for the KU PGCET exam.

Candidates wishing to apply for KU PGCET must be a citizen of India with a relevant graduate degree. The KU PGCET form will be available on the official website. The application form can be filled from anywhere with a sound internet connection.

Steps to Download Admit Card

Candidates can follow the steps below to download KU PGCET 2023 admit cards once they are released.

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of Kakatiya University.
  • Step 2: Click on the ‘Login’ link on the top menu for downloading the admit card.
  • Step 3: Enter the user ID and password, and log in.
  • Step 4: Click on ‘Download Hall Ticket’ link on top the window.
  • Step 5: Download and print the admit card for future use.

Exam Centre

KU PGCET will be held across Warangal or Karimnagar centres. Candidates must choose their convenient exam centres at the time of filling the application form. Exam centres are liable to be changed by the university in case there is insufficient or less than 100 candidates for a specific centre.

For 5 years of integrated M.Sc program, the exam centres will be located at Warangal only. There will no entrance test conducted for M.A. (Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu), M.Sc (Food Science and Technology) and M.Sc, MIT programs.

Syllabus:

The syllabus for the KU PGCET 2023 is based on the undergraduate syllabus of the relevant discipline. The detailed syllabus can be downloaded from the Kakatiya University website.

Exam Pattern

The KU PGCET 2023 will be an objective-type test of 2 hours’ duration. The test will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, with each question carrying one mark. There will be no negative marking.

There is no prescribed textbook for the KU PGCET. However, candidates can refer to the following books for preparation:

Counselling

After the results of the KU PGCET 2023 are announced, candidates who have qualified the exam will be eligible to participate in the counselling process.
