IISc Bangalore M.Tech Admission 2024 – Eligible applicants are invited to apply for admission to the 1-Year Master of Engineering (M. Engg.) programme through the CFTI Mode of Entry Universities for the Academic session 2024-25.
IISc Bangalore M.E Program Admission 2024
The Centre for Nanoscience and Engineering (CeNSE) is introducing a one-year M. Engg in Semiconductor Technology starting from the Academic year 2024-25 (August 2024). The aim is to align with the India Semiconductor Mission and address the rapidly growing semiconductor ecosystem in the country and globally. The semiconductor industry encompasses various fields, and its demands extend beyond core subjects. This program is tailored to attract students from diverse backgrounds while staying in sync with the current industrial needs in semiconductor technology, including the demand for skilled workforce and advanced R&D in the field.

Eligibility Criteria
The 1-Year Master of Engineering (M. Engg.) Program is open to applicants meeting the following criteria:
- Possession of a minimum Second Class or equivalent in BE / B Tech or an equivalent degree in any discipline, with a GATE paper in EC, EE, IN, ME, MT, XE-C. Alternatively, applicants holding an MSc or equivalent degree in Electronics or Physics with a GATE score in EC, IN, or PH paper. The GATE score card should be valid as of 01 August 2024.
OR
- Graduates of any course with a minimum duration of four years, from any Centrally Funded Technical Institution, with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 out of 10, are eligible to apply for this program under the CFTI Mode of Entry without needing to qualify in GATE. Application Fee
- General / OBC / EWS: Rs. 800
- SC / ST / PwD (Persons with Disability): Rs. 400
*The fee is non-refundable; any bank or payment gateway service charges must be borne by the applicant.

Selection procedure
1-Year Master of Engineering (M. Engg.) Programme
For GATE qualified applicants: Selection is based on 70% of the GATE score and 30% of the performance in the interview.
For students from CFTIs (Graduates of any course with a minimum duration of 4 years) with a CGPA of ≥ 8.0: Selection is based on 70% weightage on CAM (Career Analysis Marks) score and 30% performance in the interview.
