  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil/ ECE/ Electron./ Comp. Sci./ IT/ Electrical/ Geoinform./ Agri. Engg./ Geosci./ Petrol. Engg./ Mining Engg./ Agri. Inform./ Forest Inform. or equivalent (OR)  B.Arch./ B.Plan./ M.Arch./ M.Plan. (OR)  Master’s in Geography (OR)  Govt. officials having B.Sc. degree.

  • The candidates applying for the course should have the following qualification for Intermediate/ Pre-University Level (including Diploma) and UG/PG levels with SScience stream (with at least any two subjects out of Physics/ Chemistry/ Maths/ Statistics/ Biology/ Comp. Science).

  • The candidates applying for the course should have the following qualification for Intermediate/ Pre-University Level (including Diploma) and UG/PG levels with Science stream (with Maths as essential subject and any one subject out of Physics/ Chemistry/ Statistics/ Biology/ Comp. Science).
  • M.Sc. in Marine Sci./ Earth Sci./ Phy./ Oceanog./ Meteor./ Atm. Sci./ Env. Sci./ Maths&  Master’s in Geography, M.Sc./M.Tech. in Phy./ Appl. Phy./ Maths/ Stat./ Appl. Maths/ Comp. Sci./ Civil/ IT/ Geography/ Geoinform. or equivalent (OR)
  • B.E./ B.Tech.in Civil Engg./ Agri. Engg./ Water Res. Engg. or equivalent. B.E./B.Tech. in Comp. Sci./ IT/ Civil/ Electron./ Geoinform. or equivalent.
  • Note – Candidates in the final semester/year of the qualifying degree can also apply under the “Result Awaited” category.

Application Process

  • Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website https://www.iirs.gov.in/ https://admissions.iirs.gov.in/
  • To apply online, visit https://admissions.iirs.gov.in/. The candidate has to choose only one specialization at the time of applying online, which cannot be changed subsequently. Only those applicants, who apply online before the last date and satisfy the eligibility criteria, will be considered for admission.
  • If the candidate wishes to apply for P.G. Diploma as well as M.Tech., M.Sc. he/she has to select the same specialization for both the courses.
  • Govt.-sponsored candidates must submit the Nomination Form from the Competent Authority of their parent organization/institute at the time of submitting the online application

Application Fee

  • For One Programs: Rs. 1,000/- (USD 100 for foreign nationals)
  • For Both Programs: Rs. 1,500/- (USD 150 for foreign nationals)
  • Mode of Payment : Online through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking

Admission Process

  • Admission will be based on Academic Career and Interview (online) performance.
  • Detailed guidelines will be published on IIRS website in due course of time. Government-sponsored candidates are exempted from Interview.
